folding gate

The folding gate was designed for
the safari roof house as it was felt
that the usual sliding main gate
were a little graceless in operation.
The idea for the gate also came as
a reaction to a common problem
with swing gates; they open into
the path of a visitor standing by
the gate bell.

The folding gate is a hybrid,
making use of a sliding gate motor
attached to a perforated folding
main gate hinged at the middle.

The gate is light, folding out on
three wheels of stainless steel
and tracks cast into the gravel
washed driveway.
